Midland Metropolitan Hospital is a new acute general hospital being built on a 16-acre site in Grove Lane at Smethwick near Birmingham.HistoryThe Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust was granted a compulsory purchase order to buy the land at Grove Lane for the hospital in January 2011. The hospital was designed by a team led by HKS and is being built by Carillion who will also provide hard facilities management and life-cycle maintenance services. Read more
